National Board

The National Association of Women MBAs is directed and overseen by its board of directors which is composed of past national directors, past conference coordinators, professionals, and a faculty advisor.

Members of the National Board of Directors:

 

Dominique Bourda Allen is the chair of the Marketing Committee and serves on the Development and Finance committees.  Ms. Allen is Manager, C&I Commercial Optimization for Reliant Energy Solutions.  She earned her MBA from Texas A&M University. 

 

Michelle Lewis

 

Michelle Lewis is the Director, Corporate Development for a division of National Oilwell Varco. Prior to her joining NOV, Michelle was a Principal in a global consulting firm. She has over 15 years of consulting, restructuring and interim management experience working with companies and organizations in various stages of their organizational lifecycle from start-ups and healthy, mature companies to those in decline and that require a turnaround. Ms. Lewis received her MBA from Rice University’s Jones School of Business and her Bachelor of Fine Arts from the University of Texas at Austin. She is active in her community and has served on several local and regional non-profit board

Rebecca Cooke, strategy consultant, executive coach, and founder of RoundTableau LLC, has been providing professional services to the global Fortune 1000 for more than 25 years. In both the corporate and entrepreneurial worlds, she has a proven track record in helping companies and top management achieve strategic success. Rebecca has served in strategy and leadership roles in organizations such as IBM, Sprint, and Paranet. Cooke has a BBA in Accounting from Texas A&M University and an MBA from Rice University. She serves in a number of volunteer organizations including the Rice University Jesse H. Jones Graduate School of Business Partners Executive Board as President.

 

Laura Wright Southall is a Manager at Alvarez & Marsal.  She is a member of the Development and Finance Committees.  She earned her MBA from Rice University.

 

Emilie Cortes 


Emilie Cortes, CFA, is a member of the Professional Development Committee.  Ms. Cortes is a Sales Executive for Axioma, Inc.  She earned her MBA from the University of California at Berkeley.

 

 

 Tonya Olpin


Tonya Olpin is the Executive Director of NAWMBA.  Ms. Olpin was previously in retail management and was the General Manager for The Limited.  She earned her MBA from Rice University.

 

 

 


Megan Streifel serves on the Professional Development Committee.  She is Head of Human Resources at Heath Hero Network, Inc.  (A BOSCH Company).  She earned her MBA from Loyola Marymount University. 

Margaret Cording

 

Margaret Cording serves on the development committee. She is a professor of strategy and business ethics at the Jones Graduate School of Business, Rice University. She earned her MBA from The Wharton School of the University of Pennsylvania and her Ph.D. from the Darden Graduate School of Management at the University of Virginia.
